A Message from the Dean of Health ServicesOn behalf of all the faculty and staff in the College of Health Sciences, I would like to welcome you to our website and invite you to learn more about who we are and what we have to offer.
 The College of Health Sciences is all about educating tomorrow's healthcare professionals. We are a teaching institution focused on providing the greatest learning opportunities for our students. No class exceeds 30 students in size and the primary responsibility of faculty is to facilitate student success. Every student has a faculty mentor they can turn to for guidance or encouragement. We are here to help you to master the necessary material and to succeed in your healthcare related professional goals. We aim to fill your academic needs, whether it is assistance through remediation or the opportunity to partake in advanced coursework to better prepare you for graduate level experiences.
Grand Canyon University is an institution with a strong Christian heritage. Students live and study in a safe and caring environment where everyone does their best to live by and interact in ways that demonstrate Christian values and highly ethical principles.
The College of Health Sciences was created in June 2007 to address the rapidly growing shortage of healthcare personnel and wellness educators/counselors that is occurring across the country. Through affiliation and collaboration with a variety of healthcare organizations and providers, we are able to stay abreast of ever-changing healthcare professional needs and respond rapidly with the development of dynamic programs that provide both the critical skills and the relevant competencies required of today's healthcare workforce.
