COHS Student Organizations | Pre-Health Professions Club The focus of the Pre-Health Professions Club is to enable students of all backgrounds to learn to work together towards a common cause of meeting the great needs found in the community with the objective of learning about the opportunities present there. Looking forward, the members of the Pre-Health Professions Club will continue the involvement at the Desert Mission Food Bank, volunteering at local hospitals and encouraging youth to investigate the possibilities in healthcare. The Pre-Health Professions Club meets once a month. Annual dues for the club are $25.00. For more information about this club, contact 2007-2008 President Jeremy Greene at jgreene141@my.gcu.edu. Athletic Training Student Association
The Athletic Training Student Association (ATSA) is designed to promote advancement, encouragement and improvement of the athletic training profession and provide mentoring to those students interested in the Athletic Training Program. The club aims to establish and maintain a strong relationship and exchange ideas with fellow students, athletic training faculty, and other medical professionals. In addition to the development of professional skills needed for a career as Certified Athletic Trainer, the ATSA is active in fundraising events, social activities and community service to further advance the profession of Athletic Training.
The ATSA meets once a month, offers free food and remarkable speakers. Annual dues for the club are $10; $5 initially for prospective athletic training students and $5 after acceptance into the athletic training education program.
